June Exploratory Trip

We did it! About 20 miles of fun, learning and good times followed by a nice, hot shower.  Mrs. Lepper and Mrs. Pert documented the trip with stills and video. I can't wait to see the results.

On our way!

Our trip has been approved by the school board and now it is time to start planning! You can find out about events by looking at the calendar. I have posted the itinerary with tentative dates. The first activity is on May 31st. Rangers Posey and Kohli will do a presentation for middle school parents and students.

That afternoon, students may stay after school for activities. Mrs. Lepper's 4th grade students will be preparing for Monday's school board presentation, Ms. Johns' students will be setting up tents and making plans for our class camping trip in June and Mr. Devine's students will be planting garden seedlings.

After that, we'll make pizza, eat and finish up in time for our presentation.

Be sure to check out the itinerary and the first edition of the CoastToCanyon news.

April Exploratory Trip

Mrs. Pert and I made our first trip to the Grand Canyon. While there, we met with  rangers Kohli and Posey and began planing the trip itinerary and content.

The temperatures on the rim were chilly in the morning but very nice during the day. As  we went into the canyon, the temperatures increased modestly. This is truly the time to be out here; it was beautiful!
